Feature walls and wall panelling in Palm Jumeirah

A single feature wall can change how a room in Palm Jumeirah feels: behind the bed, along the stairs, in the entrance or behind the dining table. We help you choose the material and the spot, and plan the lighting that brings it to life.

How we approach it

Many villas in Dubai are handed over with white walls everywhere. They are a clean starting point, but rooms can feel flat, especially large living rooms and double-height entrances. A feature wall gives the eye somewhere to rest and the room a personality, without redoing the whole house. It is also one of the most effective ways to make a rented-out or recently bought villa feel like yours.

The options are wide. Fluted panels, in MDF, polymer or wood veneer, add vertical rhythm and work well behind a bed or a TV. Wooden or wood-look slats, often on a dark acoustic felt backing, bring warmth and soften the sound in rooms with hard floors. Stone and marble effects can be created with large porcelain slabs, sintered stone or lighter decorative panels, giving a luxurious look without the weight of natural stone. Classic moulding and wainscoting suit more traditional interiors, while 3D panels and textured plaster play with light and shadow.

Lighting makes the difference between a nice wall and a striking one. A wall-washer, an LED strip hidden at the top or bottom, or a few spotlights aimed along fluted panels bring out the texture in the evening. We plan the light together with the wall, so the cables and drivers are hidden before the panels go on.

In the Dubai climate we pay attention to what goes where. Natural wood reacts to changes in humidity, so panels near an AC vent, a window in full sun or a bathroom need suitable materials and fixings, with expansion gaps where needed. The wall behind is checked first: it has to be flat and dry, and heavy cladding needs fixings that suit the wall. You see samples before choosing, and the quote names the exact product and finish.

Interior works in Palm Jumeirah

On Palm Jumeirah, villas sit on the fronds of the island, many with direct access to the beach. Sea air and humidity are part of the brief: boards, paints, wood and fittings are chosen to cope with a coastal setting.

Why owners in Palm Jumeirah choose us

Dubai has no shortage of fit-out companies, so it is fair to ask who you are dealing with. We have more than 19 years of experience in Dubai and the works are insured. Europeans are part of our team, alongside our local team members: you get European know-how and finish quality at Dubai market prices, with quality materials named on a clear written quote that you accept online. The works are carried out and invoiced by our partner contractor, also named on the quote. One person follows your project until the final check, with updates on WhatsApp, in English, French or Arabic.

What affects the price

  • Size of the wall and number of walls treated
  • Material: MDF, polymer, wood veneer, solid wood, porcelain or sintered stone
  • Pattern and cutting: openings, sockets, corners and curves
  • Condition and flatness of the existing wall
  • Integrated lighting and electrical work
  • Height of the wall, for example in a double-height entrance

We do not publish standard prices: every villa is different. After the free visit, you receive a written quote with each item and product named.

Frequently asked questions

Which wall should become the feature wall?

Usually the wall your eye goes to first: behind the bed, behind the sofa or TV, the entrance or the staircase. At the visit we look at the light and the furniture and suggest the spot where the effect is strongest.

Are wooden slats a good idea in a Dubai villa?

Yes, with the right product and placement. Wood reacts to humidity and AC, so we choose stable materials such as veneered or engineered panels, leave expansion gaps where needed and avoid placing them right in front of an AC vent.

Can I have a marble look without real marble in Palm Jumeirah?

Yes. Large porcelain slabs, sintered stone or decorative panels give a marble or stone look that is lighter, easier to install and easier to maintain than natural stone. We bring samples so you can compare.

Can a feature wall include lighting?

Yes, and it is often what makes it. LED strips hidden at the top or bottom, or spotlights aimed along the panels, bring out the texture. The cables are planned before the panels are fixed.

How do I get a quote for a feature wall in Palm Jumeirah?

Send a photo of the room and the wall on WhatsApp or through the form. We visit for free, bring samples and send you a written quote, without commitment.
