Garden design and landscaping in Mudon

Every plot in Mudon has its own orientation, size and constraints. We design a garden around yours and around how you want to live outside: shade, play, dining, privacy or simply something easy to look after.

What's included

  • Visit and discussion of your needs, habits and budget
  • Layout of lawn, planting beds, paths, seating and play areas
  • Plant selection suited to the Dubai climate and your maintenance level
  • Irrigation, lighting and drainage planned together with the layout
  • Material choices for paving, edging, gravel and decking
  • A phased plan if you prefer to build step by step

How we approach it

Garden design starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. Where does the sun hit in the afternoon? Where do the children play? Do you want to eat outside, swim, grow herbs, or mostly see something green from the living room? The answers decide where the lawn, the beds, the paths and the seating go.

In Dubai, a good design also deals with heat and water. Shade trees, pergolas and planted areas cool the spaces you use; drip irrigation and climate-suited plants keep water use and maintenance reasonable; surfaces are chosen so they do not get too hot underfoot or fade quickly.

The design can be built in one go or in phases. Many owners start with the ground works and the lawn, then add a pergola, lighting or a BBQ area later. A plan drawn at the start makes sure each step fits the next.

Working in Mudon

Mudon is a Dubai Properties community of villas and townhouses in Dubailand. Owners often look for family-friendly gardens: an easy lawn, shade and space for children.

Why owners in Mudon choose us

Dubai has no shortage of contractors, so it is fair to ask who you are dealing with. Europeans are part of our team, alongside our local team members: you get European know-how and finish quality at Dubai market prices. You receive a clear written quote that you accept online, with materials from Europe and Saudi Arabia named on it; the works are carried out and invoiced by our partner contractor, also named on the quote. One person follows your project until handover, in English, French or Arabic.

What affects the price

  • Size of the plot and how much of it is redesigned
  • Share of hardscape: paving, decking, walls and steps weigh more than planting
  • Number and size of trees and plants
  • Irrigation, drainage and lighting included in the scope
  • Existing elements to remove or keep
  • Approvals needed if the design includes structures

We do not publish standard prices: every villa is different. After the free visit, you receive a written quote with each item and product named.

Typical steps

  1. 1Visit: we walk the garden with you and note the sun, views, levels and existing elements.
  2. 2Concept: we propose a layout and materials, and adjust it with you.
  3. 3Quote: you receive a written quote, item by item, with the materials named.
  4. 4Works: ground works first, then irrigation and hardscape, planting last.
  5. 5Handover: a final walk-through together, with watering and care advice.

Approvals and NOC

Planting and softscape usually need little paperwork, but anything structural in the design (pergolas, walls, raised beds, water features, changes of level) may need an NOC from the developer or the community management. We flag those items in the design and check what Mudon currently asks for before work starts.

Most Dubai master communities require an NOC or permit from the developer or community management for pools, pergolas and structural works. Requirements, documents and timing vary between communities and can change, so we check them for your villa before the works are planned.

Materials from Europe and Saudi Arabia

Paving, edging, lighting and irrigation parts are sourced from European and Saudi suppliers; plants are chosen for the local climate.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a full design for a small garden?

Not a complex one. Even for a small garden, a simple plan avoids buying things twice: it fixes where the lawn, beds and lights go before any work starts.

Can you work with what I already have in Mudon?

Yes. We often keep healthy trees, existing paving or the pool and design around them. We tell you honestly what is worth keeping.

Can the garden be done in phases?

Yes. We draw the whole plan first, then quote and carry out the phases you choose, so each step fits the next.

What do I pay for the design?

The visit and the quote are free and without commitment. Everything you would pay for is written on the quote before you decide.

Which plants do well in a Dubai garden?

Plants that cope with heat and strong sun, such as many palms, bougainvillea, frangipani and desert-adapted species. The right choice depends on sun, shade and how much care you want to give.

Who is behind Lagoons Garden & Pools?

A team that brings together Europeans and local team members in Dubai, with more than 19 years of experience in Dubai. The works are insured.
